SMS Privacy Policy

SMS Privacy Policy

Tex R Us LLC
Effective Date: September 1st, 2026

  1. Overview

This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Tex R Us LLC (“Tex R Us,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with our text message program for multi-factor authentication (MFA). By enrolling in our MFA text message program, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

  1. Program Description

Tex R Us uses SMS text messages only to verify user identity through multi-factor authentication. These messages contain one-time verification codes or identity confirmation prompts. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through this program.

  1. How We Obtain Consent

Users enroll in our MFA text message program by giving verbal consent. At enrollment, a Tex R Us representative explains the purpose of the messages, how often they may be sent, that message and data rates may apply, and how to opt out. The representative then asks the user to confirm verbally that they agree to receive text messages at the phone number provided. We record the date, time, and phone number for each consent, along with the representative who collected it.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

  1. Information We Collect

When you enroll, we collect:

  • Mobile phone number
  • First and last name
  • Name of the company you work for
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use this information only to:

  • Send verification codes and identity confirmation messages
  • Confirm your identity when you access our systems
  • Keep records of your consent and opt-out requests
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our MFA system
  1. Information Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information with service providers that help us deliver text messages, such as SMS platforms and telecommunications carriers. We share only what they need to deliver the messages, and they may not use it for any other purpose. We may also disclose information if the law or legal process requires it.

  1. Message Frequency and Costs

Message frequency varies with how often you log in or request verification. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

  1. Opting Out and Getting Help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have opted out. Because text messages are used for identity verification, opting out may prevent you from completing MFA by text. Please contact us at customerservice@texrus.com or 907-248-3978 to set up another verification method.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at customerservice@texrus.com or 907-248-3978.

  1. Carrier Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  1. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

  1. Data Retention

We keep your information only while you are enrolled in the MFA program and for as long as needed afterward to meet legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements, including records of consent.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the Effective Date above will be updated.
